Our story

The spark for Zalarma ignited over 16 years of friendship between our founders. Finally at Austin's Angel Donuts and Treats, we talked about building a company. We talked about the biggest problem facing mid-sized businesses. Every Saturday for a year, our founders had discussions about their shared struggle: getting qualified traffic.

AR, a large eCommerce company executive, struggled with organic traffic despite a dedicated team producing content. MM, head of technology at an e-commerce startup, faced a similar challenge. Drawing from his experience as CTO at a larger e-commerce store, where 64% of traffic came from organic SEO, MM knew a data-driven approach was key.

Realizing many businesses lacked this knowledge, MM and AR spoke with over 40 marketers and CMOs. The consensus was clear: getting qualified traffic was hard, and paying for it wasn’t sustainable.

Determined to find a better solution, they combined their expertise to create Zalarma. Our platform optimizes content for search engines and personalizes web pages at scale, making it easier for businesses to attract and convert qualified traffic without relying solely on paid advertising.

"Zal," inspired by zeal, reflects our energetic commitment to driving results, while "arma" evokes the idea of tools and strategies that arm marketers for success.
